Love left me off its to-do list.

I date. I'm all for giving guys a chance. I've just never met the one.

Until on a spring morning in the English countryside, a tall, dark stranger emerges from the mist. Logan Steele is all tousled hair, hard chest and lips so perfect I want to reach out and touch them just to check they're real. I'm sure that's a thunderclap of chemistry I feel between us.

Did I mention he's an Earl with a self-made fortune?

A billionaire who works tirelessly for charity?

And he's so hot, watching him is like staring at the sun.

But like I said, love isn't rooting for me.

When I find out Logan Steele is out to destroy everything I've dedicated my life to protect, the chemistry disappears and the hope that had blossomed my chest turns to rage.

It no longer matters that he quickens my pulse just saying my name, weakens my knees with a single touch and that he might just be the greatest kisser that ever lived.

I might believe in love but Logan Steele is definitely not the one.

A standalone romance.

I know that when I pick up a book by Louise Bay, it would be good and this was no exception. The story takes place mostly in a little sleepy village in England. Logan is a rich businessman who buys the family estate back for his grandmother. It just happens to be next door to Darcy’s family estate. Darcy is determined to keep the village as is while Logan wants to bring it into the modern age. The story is sweet and sexy, I love how unassuming Darcy is. The chemistry between her and Logan is captivating. A very enjoyable story.

Love this book!! I read the whole series. Loved the story of Darcy and Logan.

Beautiful love story

Darcy and Logan are perfect for each other. They just don’t know it when they meet. Darcy questions everything about Logan, assuming he’s a rich, entitled, royal who is selfish and doesn’t care about people in the village he moves to. He flies in on his helicopter, unaware how the noise affects Darcy and others. Logan thinks Darcy is uptight and looking for a husband, something he has no intention of being. Luckily, his grandmother sees the truth before Logan does and helps point him in the right direction. A beautiful love story with great characters and strong women!

Perfect!

It was so fun reading Darcy’s story! I think Darcy and Logan complimented each other perfectly, she is the practical no nonsense English girl and he’s the flashy city boy from London. They both brought out the best in one another and their chemistry was sizzling. You just know that all the arguing was going to lead to an explosion behind closed doors. I also hope that we get a book about Aurora. She needs to find her Prince Charming too.

Enemies-to-lovers and opposites attract

It’s clear from the onset of The Earl of London that there are a number of differences between the hero and the heroine - ones that could not only prevent any kind of relationship from developing between them but also ones that illustrate just how different their ways of life are as well as what matters most to them when it comes to family, love, and a lasting legacy. Logan Steele has worked his entire adult life to accomplish two things - reclaim his grandmother’s childhood home in Woolton and do everything in his power to prove, mostly to himself, that he is not his father’s son and that Logan’s legacy will be one filled with accomplishments and money. In order for Logan to achieve his goals, though, he doesn’t have time for personal entanglements because they are nothing but distractions, especially a woman who is not only not his type but one who challenges him and judges him for his choices in life and in business. Darcy Westbury appears to be Logan’s antithesis in every way. She lives for the past and keeping her grandparents’ estate as well as the village they lived in a true representation of how they lived and what they stood for, and while it’s a noble pursuit, in some ways, it doesn’t allow her to stay in the present or look to the future because she’s so focused on keeping her family’s history alive, which makes her appear quite close-minded at times. Logan is a city boy, a player, a man whose career determines his life, and guy who demands control in everything that he does; Darcy is a country girl, a woman who values who and what people stand for, a girl who is passionate in keeping her grandparents’ legacy alive even if it means sacrificing any kind of personal ‘fun’ for herself. As Logan and Darcy circle around each other, fighting for what they feel is best for Woolton, they find themselves insanely attracted to a person who seems to be the direct opposite of their true ‘type’ and as their attraction plays out and they get to know one another, what starts as a ‘live in the moment’ connection turns into something that Darcy never thought possible and that Logan never wanted to have and what these conflicted feelings do to them as a couple and as individuals definitely illustrates the characters’ differences and also forces them to confront their pasts and how much they dictate their presents and their futures. The Earl of London is a steamy and complicated enemies-to-lovers’ story; it’s a book whose main characters appear to be contradictory in every aspect of their lives but somehow find something together that allows them to be their true selves, and while it did take me a bit to warm up to Logan because of how he lived and viewed his life and to see that he and Darcy could make things work between them despite their differences, it’s clear that they helped each other want more than they had and also believe that they were capable of achieving something just for themselves. 4 Poison Apples (The Fairest of All Book Reviews)

Darcy’s HEA

Agh! Darcy finally got her HEA! The story was sweet and spicy and completely enjoyable in Louise’s unique way. I loved the characters and enjoyed watching them work through their individual fears. Logan tried to keep his tough exterior, but Darcy managed to squeeze in and hold a place in his heart just like his granny. Can’t wait to see more of these characters in future books!

Another great read in this series

Darcy and Logan's story captivated me.There was so much to love about this story. Set in the English countryside, but not too far from London that there was a lot of city activity, too. When Logan moves in next door to Darcy on the English countryside neither one of them was expecting a relationship. What they found was something so life changing that it shook Logan to his very core. Darcy wasn't looking for a relationship, but found herself in love with Logan. Logan was stubborn and paying for his father's sins and didn't see himself as someone who could have a family. Darcy shakes his very foundation. There were times I wanted to slap Logan and I got very choked up as he made mistakes, but I fell in love with Logan just as Darcy did. This was another great read in this series!

I’ve been patiently waiting for Darcy’s story and couldn’t be happier with how it was told. Louise is a literary spellbinder with her words. I was sucked in from the first page and couldn’t put it down until I got to the end. And Logan... oh Logan. Just wait until you meet him! You need this book (and all the others) in your life. DARCY FINALLY GETS HER HEA!

The Earl of London is a wonderful steamy love story set in the United Kingdom between Lady Darcy and an Earl, Logan. This book is a standalone told in dual person POV, but I wholeheartedly encourage you to also read The Duke of Manhattan (Darcy is Ryder’s sister, the Duke in this book, and he marries an American, Scarlett) and The British Knight (Alexander is a barrister from Britain and marries Scarlett’s sister, Violet, also from the US.) The four of them reappear in the Earl of London. I really enjoy books where you see where couples that you have grown to love continue in a story line. The Earl of London was everything I hoped it would be. Darcy is a heroine I really admire. I loved her secondary character in the previous books and was one of the fans writing to Louise begging her to write about Darcy and she delivered. Darcy was independent, strong willed, loving, loyal, witty, caring, a smart businesswoman, and very devoted to her family heritage and town. She was also very lonely living in the enormous estate because her brother, the Duke, lived in the US with his wife and children, and her parents and grandparents were gone. Her life makes a complete turn-around when Logan, her strikingly handsome new neighbor, moves in as a weekender and their sexual chemistry is undeniable. They seemed to keep bumping into one another and eventually give in to their mutual attraction. Louise can write some steamy love scenes and their love scenes are explosive. I loved how they would flirt and then insult each other in the same breath! Darcy was so witty and wonderful, and Logan I just wanted to slap him and hug him at the same time. Logan is quite the domineering man when they are being intimate, but he is also patient, generous, considerate, charming, and respectful. I loved all of their interactions and you can see this relationship as something that could last long-term, even if they couldn’t. They each make the wrong assumptions about one another and she learns he is nothing like she expected. He is someone who never thought he would want to settle down, but was in constant awe of her beauty, ambition, passion, and genuine nature. His relationship with his grandmother is very sweet and shows what type of man he really is on the inside, and is one of many reasons Darcy falls in love with him. He, too, is a smart, self-made successful businessman and comes to realize what he needs to do to become a better and happier man. Of course there was some angst in this book, but I routed for them the entire time. Darcy is no pushover and even when she is vulnerable. I admire her strength and belief in her self-worth and how she, too, discovers what it is in life that makes her happy. While getting to know one another, this couple shares some very emotional and honest parts of their pasts, and they are very tender and supportive of one another. They really care about each other’s feelings and learn to compromise, especially about a personal business deal he is pursuing in their town. The way the author describes the various scenes in the book makes you feel as if you are there. Being from the US, I really enjoy reading books set in other countries and this book makes you feel you are on the English countryside living in a quaint village where you know all the townspeople. I want to visit there and have tea with Darcy and Logan!

Insatiable From Beginning to End ❤️❤️❤️

Swoon worthiness from beginning to end 😉❤️. Logan Steele and Darcy Westbury are both insatiably combustible together! They were both so headstrong and powerful in their own right. Logan is a beast in the boardroom. He had to climb his way back to the rich and elite. The love for adorable grandmother and pure drive, he has finally accomplished his goal. He has purchased his grandmother’s home which was lost due to a misfortune in the past. He soon discovers his beautiful and stubborn neighbor Darcy. Darcy’s family are wealthy but she is far from snobby or the typical socialite. She and Logan are instantly attracted to each other but she tries to deny it in the beginning. Her main purpose was reserve the small village of Wooton from developers like Logan. She’s trying to prevent the village from becoming another tourist attraction for the rich and keep local businesses from going out of business. Logan and Darcy’s insecurities are revealed as the story unfolds but love with conquer all! Another amazing book by Louise Bay!
